CDC Approved!! Now finalising our supplier selections

Having come back from the holiday break, our CDC has been approved. The selections process has taken longer than expected due to most suppliers being on holidays and some taking a while to get back to us. The selections via the Ichijo Colour consultant visits have were smooth and swift, and the requested quotes arrived within a week.

Trying to stick to our budget has been the challenge, as you constantly remember things you want added or think should be done before the house is handed over.

We have been given an estimated commencement date of the beginning of March 2015, so we are at the home stretch to finalising all selections and our plans going to drafting.

Waiting for Approvals...

So having signed he contracts we are now in the process of waiting for approvals and expecting a call to book a colour selection appointment.

The process so far has been pretty straightforward and uncomplicated. Having a good grasp on what you want and what to expect helps quite a bit.

Meanwhile there has been some recent land releases and additional display homes opened up in the Village Square estate. While the block sizes are smaller, about 95% of them have been snapped up by the nominated builders... so pretty much its going to be a house and land grab direct from the builders.

Now to get some quotes for fencing and landscaping....

Time to Start a Blog

After finally finding an adequate sized block in Edmondosn Park, having searched for well over 6 months and putting our details down on every land release in south west Sydney, we are one week away from settling on our block of land in the Village Square estate just off Camden Valley Way in Edmondson Park. What better time to start a blog about the whole building process with Ichijo (seeing as they are relatively new in Australia and there doesn't seem to be much feedback about them as a builder)

Via private sale, the block we bought  is already registered and has neighboring houses almost at completion on 2 adjoining sides, as well as a string of single story homes with people already living in them on the opposite side of the street.

Having known we wanted to build for a while now, we had visited numerous display homes and villages across Sydney.  The one builder which had caught our eye was Ichijo Energy Efficient Homes.
